The Gresham Arts Festival draws thousands from around the region each year to the charming downtown streets to meet, browse and shop from a carefully curated crop of Northwest artists and artisans, ranging from painters, potters and sculptors to woodworkers, photographers, jewelers and more.
The free, family friendly Gresham Arts Festival will be held, July 16 th , from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and in addition to more than 140 artist booths and a dozen musical acts, the Kids' Village will set up shop at the Arts Plaza. Cool off in the Children's Fountain, unleash your inner snowboarder, be a martial arts master and break some boards, and enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, snow cones, a dunk tank and more.
The Gresham community and festival visitors will also come together to smash a new Guinness World Record following last year's successful Chalk of Fame. Families, businesses, community groups and
visitors will paint 14,400 wooden blocks to form a beautiful mosaic designed by local artist Guy Edwards
with Brainjar Media. Everyone is welcome to help break the record and paint a set (or more) of 25 wooden blocks. Drop in on July 16 th , between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Arts Plaza on Third Street between Hood and Kelly Avenues, or reserve your blocks online at www.GreshamOregon.gov/ArtsFestival. For more information please call Shannon Chisom 503-750-3785 or email at shannon.chisom@greshamoregon.gov. A measurement ceremony and celebration will be held at 4 p.m.
So, mark your calendars for July 16 th and head to Historic Downtown Gresham for the 15th Gresham Arts
Festival, a day filled with "Look at that!" art, music, food and fun, turning the city's historic downtown into a giant art gallery.
